Rachel Fagen is Director of Operations at TechTonic Justice, a multidimensional, community-based effort to strengthen local justice movements and build long-term power among the people and communities that AI is leaving behind. Previously she was co-founding Director of Operations for the Integrity Institute and served as Chief of Staff to the Algorithmic Justice League. Her work spans AI governance, algorithmic accountability, and tech platform practitioner organizing. Rachel also advises Reliabl.ai and is a course lead for Stanford's Ethics, Technology, & Policy for Practitioners program. A throughline across her work is that infrastructure is where values become practice, and the gap between governance frameworks and institutional capacity to act is where harm accumulates. She is based in Massachusetts.
