Maya Hazarika Watts is a senior attorney at TTJ with deep experience in legal aid, public benefits, domestic violence law, public health advocacy, and economic justice. At legal aid, she served low-income clients through direct representation, systemic advocacy, and impact litigation. She has also worked in public health policy and advocacy, focusing on children and families. In that work, she partnered with state and local policymakers, using law and policy to advance economic justice and health equity. At TechTonic Justice, Maya focuses on California-specific AI issues, working alongside organizers, advocates, and impacted individuals to fight AI-related harms affecting low-income people.
